About the Authority
Establishment
Our History
ECZA was established by Royal Decree No. (A/19).
- 2010
Under its original mandate as the Economic Cities Authority (ECA), the Authority assumed full administrative and financial oversight of the Kingdom's economic cities and developed the regulatory framework governing them.
- 2019
The Authority's statute was amended, expanding its mandate to include regulation of the special economic zones, and renaming it the Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority (ECZA).
